Am I tolerant?
Tolerance sets seats of compassion, empathy and understanding.
Tolerance begins in our hearts towards ourselves.
Tolerance makes us open for our inner conflicts, inabilities and shadow sides.
How tolerant are you towards yourself? How do you treat yourself if you do something ‘wrong’? How tolerant are you facing your imperfections?
If tolerance for ourselves grows, we get more tolerant with the others.
How tolerant are you, if you see the inabilities of your partner and children?
How tolerant are you with your neighbour?
How tolerant are you driving your car?
Tolerance is wanted by mind and emotions to live and let live.
Tolerance towards other human beings does not bind our hands and forbid us to get active in intolerable situations. But reacting without tolerance you would probably do nothing else as the perpetrator you had just judged upon.
Acting and reacting with tolerance even towards the perpetrator is the only chance to get out of the negative vicious circle of a violent conflict.
Where could you use more tolerance in your life?
