Smiling is healing ourselves and others. When we smile muscles in our face and body move and inform our brain to activate certain hormones that make us feel good and at ease.
A real smile with an open face and an open heart is sparkling and contagious.
– When you feel you have a bad day, go find yourself a safe place and smile! Make a big smile from your lips to your ears and stay like that for at least one minute. Repeat that exercise a couple of times a day. You fake your brain, and it will provide you with some ‘good vibration’ hormones.
– Smile to other people! (When you walk on the street, when you enter your workplace, when you come home). Find a place inside yourself from which smiling is possible in a compassionate or humorous way even though you sometimes don’t feel like smiling. You will start an epidemic of smiling around you.
– Give yourself the chance to integrate the pleasure of smiling in your daily life.
– Remember moments in your life, when the smile (even of a stranger) made you smile.
