Compassion is one of the indispensable tools we need, to live peaceful lives. To have compassion with yourself means making good use of everything you have. Being compassionate with others is opening your heart and looking on a persons beauty and pain.
To integrate compassion into your life, practise in situations as the following:
- If you catch yourself punishing, or blaming yourself, stop, breathe deeply and smile
- If you catch yourself being in a depressed mood, stretch yourself, breathe deeply and open your senses for the people around you
- If you catch yourself gossiping, stop
- If you catch yourself having pity with someone, breathe deeply, set your spine straight, clear your voice and listen deeply
