As human beings we need to ‘belong’ in order to stay sane, happy, and balanced.
We need to belong to a certain field, to certain groups, like our families, our friends and interest groups. We were not created to live alone.
Looking back at our history we see that mammals have always been living in their pack, as well as early human tribes and primitive cultures of our times. We have lived in this conformation to be protected, to be stronger, to share our abilities, to have company and to define ourselves.
In our ‘civilised’ world we need protection and support more than ever.
To whom do you belong?
Have you ever experienced the pleasure of being part of a support- group?
How do you feel if you have like-minded around you with whom you can share your feelings, your worries, your believes?
Are you allowed to have different opinions and believes in the groups you belong to?
Are you supported to be the one you are?
Having drawn this card it is maybe time to declare peace in the group you belong to?
Maybe it is time to get creative and look out for people with whom you could found a support group? (e.g. a women’s group for women who are stressed in their roles as mothers, lovers, housewives and workers; or a group for men who want to share their needs and fears?)
Maybe it is just time to be grateful that you feel embedded in supportive groups that you belong to?
