We need to love ourselves.
Imagine what would happen in the world if a part of our education in school would be “self love”, if we would learn to love ourselves for who we are with all our shadow sides, all our imperfections, all our neurotic behaviour and shadow sides.
We would have the best chance for relationships, neighbourhoods, cities, countries and a world in peace. Loving and understanding ourselves is loving and understanding our next.
Our bodies need love- if our body feels loved, we raise our self esteem and love spreads in our whole being. Our bodies deserve to be loved and honoured, even if they are “too” small, thick, thin, or tall. They are perfect, because they keep us alive for some time, they help us fulfil our dreams. We have them for some time, not too long, so why not love them and cooperate to get everything out of life we can.
Having drawn this card it is maybe time to do sports or do a proper diet that supports your body to feel good?
Maybe it is time to work with affirmations like: ‘I am beautiful the way I am’, or, ‘My body is a holy temple’, or, ‘I love my ass the way it is’, etc.?
Maybe it is time to find a regular time in the week or month where you celebrate your body- get massages, enjoy yourself in the bathtub, paint your body and nails, buy body- jewellery and new clothes to specially embellish your body?
Maybe it is time to ask dear friends to give you loving feedback and strokes about your body?
Maybe it is time to do some ‘turnarounds’?- for every negative thought you have about yourself, you immediately look for a good one.
Maybe it is time to surround yourself with people who make you feel as gorgeous as you are?
Maybe it is just time to be grateful that you’ve learned to love yourself?
