Staying with your feeling
If we do not allow ourselves to feel, the feelings get stuck inside of us.
Feelings come and they go again if we give them our attention for a while.
If we learn to stay with our feelings, we get autonomous, interesting, fascinating, and trustworthy.
- If you are sad, don’t think it away. Close your eyes and breathe deeply, make contact to what happens inside of you. Don’t stop yourself too early, if you know there is more.
- If you are angry, breathe into your belly and feel! It is ok to feel anger.
- If you are happy, breathe that feeling in. Stay with the feeling as long as possible.
