What does acceptance mean for me?
How do you deal with painful facts or losses life confronts you with?
Do you deny what happened to you? Do you look away and withdraw, distract yourself, till it overwhelms you again?
Do you feel anger inside and rage? Could you destroy all the world and also God? Do you suppress your anger?
Do you bargain with God and fate, do you argue with the facts that happened? Do you bargain: “Why me?”?
Do you get depressed, don’t feel anything any more and sink down into darkness?
Do you cry a lot and let the pain go with your tears?
Do you easily accept things? Are you unforgiving with yourself and others and say “We have to accept what is without crying or bargaining. Life goes on- end of the discussion”?
Acceptance is not easy to achieve, and it is important to allow ourselves to go through different feelings and phases before, but if we once do accept, it eases our lives and the difficult does not hurt so much.
Whatever happens to us, if we one day succeed in accepting it, we can go on leading our life enjoying and allowing happiness to join.
